How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or a missed cab ruin your day? And how often you even let inanimate objects do the same to you? Unless you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably set back on your heels.
Many people(including me sometimes) are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they'll dump it on you.
When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally. You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You'll be happy you did. I guarantee it. So this was it: The "Law of the Garbage Truck."
I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me? And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets? And how often am i driving this garbage truck trampling people under it?
Spreading the garbage will not make the world a better place to live in. I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on. Be happy. This will make you happier.
P.S. Somedays you are the bird, on other days you are the statue.

Decisions
Every action taken by human beings is based in love or fear, not simply those dealing with relationships. Decisions affecting business, industry, politics, religion, the education of your young, the social agenda of your nations, the economic goals of your society, choices involving war, peace, attack, defense, aggression, submission; determinations to covet or give away, to save or to share, to unite or to divide—every single free choice you ever undertake arises out of one of the only two possible thoughts there are: a thought of love or a thought of fear.
Fear is the energy which contracts, closes down, draws in, runs, hides, hoards, harms. Love is the energy which expands, opens up, sends out, stays, reveals, shares, heals.
Fear wraps our bodies in clothing, love allows us to stand naked.
Fear clings to and clutches all that we have, love gives all that we have away.
Fear holds close, love holds dear.
Fear grasps, love lets go. Fear rankles, love soothes.
Fear attacks, love amends.

Time Vs People
This question has been bugging me since a long of time. Do people change with time? Or is it that time changes people? They say, 'The only thing constant is change!' And yet this permanent fixture of our lives called change really unsettles us! If change is so constant, why are we so resistant to it?
The first job is everything for you to call it a career. A few months down the line, you are no longer content with even your job. What changed here? The time or the person?
The initial period of a relationship is rosy, so full of sweet nothings, thank you's and sorry's. That time your partner is everything you want. A few years into it, he/she is nothing even close to what you want. The words that earlier flowed effortlessly are gone. What changed here? The time or the person?
So dynamic is the nature of evrything. If everything is so volatile, then why is that some thoughts just keep running through the head. Why then, the state of mind is so constant?

Dialogues find a new home!
Dialogues from movies, Lines from books make interesting Status messages on the IM's. I have one from 'Blue Umbrella' - 'उधार प्रेम की कैंची है !' on my Gtalk.
Some just get imprinted on the invisible notepad of mind. Stark realities in simple words. Sometimes, reflect the state of mind. And keeps lingering in the sub concious for long!
They make you stretch beyond the limits of your thoughts. Guys who write them are absolute genuises. But, Hey - Does that mean they have such clarity of thought? Not until millions of readers/viewers recognize the dialogues, the effort is futile!
So, who makes a dialogue great? The one who writes it or the one who appreciates it?
Dont Know the answer for that one! But here are some of my fave dialogues.
From Hitch
"Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. "
From Rang De Basanti
"Hamara ek paav future mein hain, ek paav past mein, isiliye hum apne present pe muut rahe hai"
From Anand
"Babumoshay, Zindagi badi honi chahiye; lambi nahi"
More to be continued later.
